November 3, was an historic day in the history of Danish literature. Rarely have the expectations connected with the publication of a book been so great, and rarely has an author been in so privileged a position to fulfill these expectations.

The newspaper Information broke its own rule by reviewing the biography the day before it appeared.
The reviewer, Klaus Rifbjerg could thus send the book out into the world with an exceptionally fortunate shove. The next day all the other Danish papers followed suit.
